Isn't he cute!!

Here is the newest addition to our family--the kids named him Oreo. We were not planning on getting another cat but our neighbors cat had kittens and well it is pretty obvious that our cat had a part in that so we felt it was our parental obligation to take one of them. :)

Happy Fathers Day!!

I'm a day late but I still wanted to say Happy Fathers Day to our dads and to my wonderful husband... you guys are the best!!

Saturday and Sunday Jed went fishing. Sat he went up to yuba and my dad and sam caught some nice northern pike. ( and yes dad you are going to get it mounted!!) Sun. they went to Utah lake and took the kids catfishing. Alexa tells me they caught 3 really big ones, Dylan and Braxton liked getting in the water, well Braxton liked it in hindsight. The kids tell me that Jed pushed him in(shallow water) and he didn't like it all that much. (Jed, you didn't mention that part to me. :)

Yeah, the carny's gone!!

So I love Art City days... really, but I am very glad it is over with! The carnival was fun when I was 10 but now it is a nightmare, trying to keep your kids all in one place and pushing a stroller through a million carny folk gets old. I won't even get into how much we spent. It is worth it though when I see my kids having so much fun. Jed doesn't care what he has to go through just as long as he gets his greasy carny food :)

I am just starting this blog so I will update you on what we've been up to in the last little while...In April we went down south to do the Hole in the Rock trail. It's a jeep trail down by Lake Powell, it takes you to the place where some of the pioneers came into the valley. (I don't remember which handcart company it was.) It is pretty amazing to see what they had to do to get here. The trail to get to it is pretty amazing to. We took our Commander down and it did great, there were parts that had me and the kids in tears and one part that had us pretty much vertical about to tip over and roll down the cliff, (Dylan and Braxton were bawling, but Ethan was oblivious sucking on his fingers and watching a movie.) but other than that it was fun! (Jed will say I'm exagerating and that it wasn't that bad, but that is how I remember it!)

The kids are out of school now, and I am finding every way possible to keep them entertained so that I don't go insane. Between baseball, t-ball, scouts, art lessons, swimming lessons, and having the entire neighborhood at my house all the time I think I might go insane anyway but the kids are happy so thats all that matters right!
