Cannon & Ryder

These guys are gonna be little heartbreakers!! Before we took their pics Ashlee was telling me how bad Cannon hated his picture taken and that she hardly has any of him because of that...so I was a little nervous, not to mention I wanted to try full manual mode with my camera. I went and got a couple of grab bags for them for bribery(sp?) and I don't know if it was the promise of candy or someone other than mom taking pictures, but they were awesome!! Ashlee, I hope you like them!! I think I am getting this manual thing down, (I usually shoot in AV mode) if you want me to redo any let me know!

We survived the first day!!!

The kids started school on Wed, I can't believe I have a 4th and 1st grader!! I was able to hold the tears in while we walked to the bus stop. As soon as they got on they overflowed. It's funny cause towards the end of summer I kept saying to myself "I can't wait until school starts!" and now that it is here I miss my kids!! They had a fun first week and love school so I am glad. Love you guys!!!

The Hyers

This is our Bishop and his darling family...they are the nicest people in the world!! I love this family!! I took some family pictures for them the other day and I have to say they were troopers!! Randie and Kellen (the two in the back) had surgery on the same day, a few days before we took these so they were such good sports to do this. I had to laugh though because towards the end after almost every pose all the guys were saying "okay, we're done!" Here are a few. I have to say that Kellen you crack me up!! I can't count how many times I would open a picture and just burst out laughing! The faces that kid can pull!!

Halle

Happy birthday Halle!! I got to take some pictures of my friend Kristy's daughter for her birthday that is on friday, it was fun! Kristy, your daughter is such a cutie, and very photogenic, and such a cute personality...in fact I've decided... I'd like to keep her! I hope you don't mind. :) Ethan, my son that is the same age, screams whenever I get the camera out, so it shocked me that Halle cooperated so well. Thanks Kris!

Little Averie

Our bishops daughter, Lynsie and her husband Trevor, adopted Averie about a month ago, I was so excited to take her pictures!! She is so sweet!! She is so cute and tiny but man is this girl tough!! We tried to do different poses with her, but she was not having it!! She was a trooper though and we got some really cute ones! Thanks Lynsie and Trevor!! You guys are awesome!! A shout out to Tootsie Bug for the darling tutu!! You guys are the best!!

I got my new lens...yea!!!

It came today...my 50mm 1.4 lens. It really isn't all that amazing of a lens, I am just excited to have something other than my kit lens! I told the kids I wanted to try it out and they all mysteriously disappeared :). I can always count on my nephew though, he loves his picture taken. He looks grumpy in this, but there was a noise he was listening to that he couldn't figure out what it was. He is so cute!

I loved it!!

So I am already reading this a second time-- I thought it was really good!! I''ve read that a lot of people didn't like it, but I think she did an amazing job as usual!! I am just wondering if I will ever be able to stop reading these books, I never get tired of them!! I cannot wait until the movie comes out, hopefully it will do the book justice. Even if they only get one scene right it will be worth it though!! The Twilight sage is a definate must read!!

Our cat needs therapy!!

They are actually our neighbors cats Meaner and King, but they kind of adopted us too, and my kids really want me to put this on here. At first it doesn't look weird--just a kitten nursing from his mom right? Well nope sorry the mom is actually his brother. Don't worry, he is just sucking on his leg (I was a little worried at first!) He totally goes to town "nursing" for like an hour! How weird is this?!!
