Thankful...Really?

I usually don't mind doing laundry, yeah it never ends but I don't mind doing it...until fall, that is when normal laundry turns into hunting laundry. I hate hunting laundry! Dirty smelly clothes that are shoved in a pack for days after hiking all week, covered in stickers and thorns and sweat and animal blood (and spaghetti if you're Dylan). I dread opening the laundry room door when I know the pack has been emptied...the smell...ugh! So when listening to Pres. Monsons talk about enjoying the journey, (which totally felt like he was talking just for me), when he mentioned something about piles of laundry and that one day I would miss it, I couldn't help but think that Pres. Monson or his wife probably haven't done a lot of hunting laundry!

Hunting...

This guy was shot at 77? yards with a bow and as you can see it was a pretty good shot!
I really don't get the "let's take the kids picture with a cut off head" idea!

I have to say that this year has been crazy with hunting, and usually I get really frustrated with the whole institution and turn into the crazy anti-hunting hag, but I promised myself this year I would not let it bug me. I am tired of fighting about it and being angry, so although it has been another crazy hunting season, it really hasn't been that bad. I just now really don't "get" it...why is it fun to wake up @ 3:00 a.m. to go hike all day, come home at 10:00 at night and do the cycle over again for a week? Why is it fun to sleep on the mountain on one of the coldest nights so far with no sleeping bag or tent or anything, why is it fun to cut an animal up and carry it down the mountain? Honey, I love you more than anything, and I love that you love this, but I really think you're crazy!! Here are some of his antelope pics, these are the first antelope he got this year, he is presently in New Mexico getting another one. (another "why"?) I'm sure I will have more cut off head pictures to post as I haven't gotten Scotts Elk pictures and we still have the deer hunt...oh yeah!! **still not letting it bug me :)**

Jason, Krista, and Talan...(finally!)

Obviously this is an outtake, but I love it!! My brilliant sucker idea didn't turn out so brilliant!

Sorry Krista, I know you haven't even seen most of these yet, but I can't get ahold of you and I really wanted to put them up. So here they are a few of my favs...sorry it took so long! Talan is such a sweetie, we need to get our boys together to play!

Favorites of Addy

Here are some more of my favorites of Addy's pictures, I still can't get over how cute she is. The tutu and headband are so dang cute! (They are both from Tootsiebug.com, check it out, their stuff is awesome!!) We for sure need to get her and Ethan together to play! Thanks Jess and Joe and Happy Birthday Addy!!

Watch Out!!

I had to post this even though it is so blurry. This is one of the "two" outtakes and when I pulled it up on my computer I about fell off my chair! She was in the process of chucking the t at me and you can totally see her thinking "Quit giving me this thing!!" I'm sorry Addy but even when your mad me, you're still the cutest little thing ever!!

two

I got this idea from a picture I saw somewhere and I thought it was cute, but these turned out better than I could have ever hoped for! Jess--Addy is going to be such a little hearbreaker when she is older! I love the one with the "O", but what I really love are the outtakes. Addy is such a mover we had a hard time getting her to hold the letter AND hold still. I got a couple of pictures with the letter flying through the air and a look on Addy's face like "Why do they keep giving me this darn thing!!"

Addie

I just got back from taking some pictures of Addie and I think I got my exercise in for the day! She is a mover! She was so cute and hillarious I had a hard time trying not to laugh so I could take the picture. I had to hurry and put one up because with 300 pictures it might take a bit to get them all done. The top is the original and the bottom has the vintage finish. (I am loving this vintage look!) Jess--let me know what you think.

Shannon & Nate

I love this picture...you guys are gorgeous!!

Takota has the most gorgeous brown eyes ever!
I was so excited to try this vintage wash, I love it! For some reason it reminds me of American Eagle.
This family is beyond adorable!! Shannon and Nate are newlyweds and are so darling together! You can just tell they are so happy! Your kids are just so cute and fun. I loved little Lataya(I know I spelled it wrong :) She was such a little poser. Towards the end she found a ladybug and was showing it off in some of the pictures. Shannon I was amazed with your boys, they really didn't seem to mind that they were having their pictures taken! I didn't even hear one complaint! Maybe I am just used to my boys, I am constantly having to bribe them when we are taking pictures... if you smile just one more time we will go get a grab bag! Thanks for letting me take your pictures guys, I hope you like them!

Are you smarter than a fourth grader? I'm obviously not!!

I am venting right now because I am helping Dylan with his math, and the way they teach them how to do it nowadays sucks!!! Mental math is what they call it, but I think whoever came up with this theory is MENTAL!!! It is no longer 347-48=299, it is 347-50=297+2=299. Addition is even worse 543+126 is now 543+130=673-4=669. I admit I am no whiz at math and it is probably a piece of cake for everyone else, but whatever happened to good old fashioned regrouping and solving the REAL problem!!!! AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!
